SkyAvenue Genting Food Trail Specials

Can’t believe I drove all the way up to Genting Highlands alone early in the morning for this 3D2N exciting itinerary organized by Resorts World Genting back in the mid of January. I was here to feast myself in different food cultures that you may get them all under the same place, up to 6,000 feet above sea level, Sky Avenue Genting Highlands.

1.     Cafés Richard – Like Paris, Like Home

For caffeine lovers like me, flock to Cafés Richard to savour the ultimate in French coffee! Serving more than 2.4 million cups of Cafés Richard coffee are served daily around the world, Cafés Richard provides a classy Parisian-style atmosphere where customers can experience the genuine French art of living and enjoy authentic espressos, original coffees and teas, as well as French food.

The passion of Cafés Richard’s team lies in developing the perfect blend, from choosing quality beans to assuring the perfect roast.

Shying away from some of the more conventional coffees, Cafés Richard carefully selects beans from around the world to give customers a sense of exploration and discovery. For those who prefer a twist to their caffeine intake, there are also coffee cocktails and tea cocktails, some of which are specially concocted for Resorts World Genting such as the French Genting: a combination of French orange liqueur, espresso, and Bentong ginger.

Well, I’m impressed. Tasted once with the members of the influencers and I made another for to feel the Parisian coffee-drinking style and do a little work. And yes, you’ll need to spend more time here as you can’t feel the lifestyle if you’re in a rush: from brewing to serving to tasting, they’ll make sure you enjoy every single moment of it and live like a Parisian.

2.     Motorino – Eat like a New-Yorker

I’ve been to Motorino Pizza in Wan Chai, Hong Kong and What can I said? HUGE PIECES of PIZZA! In fact, this Neapolitan style pizza is cooked in a special wood-fired oven at 800-900 degrees Fahrenheit and it only takes less than 2 minutes.

The menu also offers a small selection of antipasti which includes mixed greens salad tossed with balsamic vinaigrette; roasted chicken wings with lemon, mint, chilli flakes and onions; and Motorino’s Meatballs served in tomato sauce, pecorino and basil.

12-inches of Pizza served by Motorino is just nice for everybody. Locating next to Cafés Richard, SkyAvenue Level 1.

3.     Burger and Lobster – From the sea, to the hill

Yes, I’ve never been to London but my friends were raving about it. As the main highlights for this FoodTrail, it got to be Burger & Lobster at SkyAvenue! Meet and feel live lobsters from Nova Scotia, transported from the deep Atlantic waters to your table 6,000 feet in the hills. What do they serve? Like the label says: Burger and Lobster. We ordered the B&L burger, steamed original lobster, seven spices lobster roll and the Chili lobster.

B&L Burger:  Superbly mouth-watering specially made charcoal bun with a combination of beef patty (high quality compatible to wagyu) and lobster meat. Thus, I would rate this as the best burger in town!

For lobster? I have only one word to describe the incredible steamed 'Big Boys' - a 1.9kg fresh & wild live lobster! So, JUICY.

Lobster Roll: Since friends and I tried the original Big Boys so we decided not to go for the original one. The seven spices is good and you would definitely fall in love especially with the bun! The 'Samurai' style is equivalent good as it is heavier in taste but definitely worth a try!

In fact, four of us on one table ordered 2 rounds for these and we ended up high with their in-house desserts.

To sum up, the food trail ends here and I’ve gained a few pounds. Not to complain but I’ve no regrets to join this trip. Thank you Resorts World Genting.
