The Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (MGAC)
2015, Maybank's award-winning talent search and recruitment competition is
now back in searching for the brightest and best young minds from 14
countries across the world, the Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge 2015 will see
thousands of university students and recent graduates battle it out for a
total prize purse of $72,000 USD and the chance at a high-flying career in
the banking and financial services industry.
The inaugural MGAC in 2012 was opened to
six countries, this year it is expanding to 14 countries including UK and US.
The number of nationalities participating in the various stages grew from 10 in
2012, to 20 nationalities last year. This year we expect to have over 20
nationalities.
The theme of this year's Maybank GO
Ahead. Challenge is #MoreThanAChallenge, and the format of the competition has
been reworked to reflect this. The scope of the Challenge has been widened,
recognising the value that candidates outside of traditional banking and
finance background represent, and in line with Maybank's goal of Humanising
Financial Services.
Furthermore, this year applicants may
join with their friends in a team of up to five Challengers, or individually as
in previous years. During the Challenge the participants will face an array of
tests which will call upon a wide range of skills and abilities, and must
demonstrate their capacity to respond to rapidly-changing circumstances.
There will also be enhanced rewards for
the Challengers who make it through to the International Grand Finals, which
will be held in Kuala Lumpur in August. In addition to the Grand Prize of
$40,000 for the Champion Team along with runners-up prizes of $20,000 USD and
$10,000 USD for the second- and third-placed teams, 2015 will see a People's
Choice' award for the favourite team decided by a public vote.
For individuals who distinguish themselves throughout the International Grand Finals, MGAC is expanding its internship prizes to 2 new cities:
