I've found my new love since I start involving in the wine and whisky industry. Hosted by Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, I was invited to join an uniquely exquisite wine and dine promotion at Villa Danieli last Firday. I'm sooo ready to be impressed with scrumptious Italian specials paired with a selection of Allegrini wines to bring out the best of flavours.

This four-course set menu by starting off with Polenta Crostini with Caramelized Wild Mushrooms and Fried Oyster served with Salsa Verde Ceviche and Cured Prawns to be paired with Allegrini SOLOSOLE Vermentino Bolgheri DOC 2013;

Green Pea Risotto with Crispy Beef Strips and Parmesan Cracker to be paired with Allegrini Palazzo della Torre Corvina Veronese IGT 2010.

While waiting for main course to be served, we're highly enjoy Allegrini La Grola Veronese IGT 2010 to ease our tummy. For the mains, my man and I picked both Stew Grouper fish in Cream with Grilled Asparagus, Fennel and Mashed Sweet Purple Potato and Grilled Beef Ribs with Sage Butter, Spinach Gnocchi, Endive and Natural Jus to be paired with Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC 2008.

Finally, end up high with my favourite Mascarpone Cheese Mousse Millefoglie with Chocolate Salami, Berries Compote and Sable Crumble to be paired with Giovanni Allegrini Recioto Classico 2010, which tastes a lil sweeter red wines on palate to complete the meal.

Priced at MYR220++ per person, this special four-course set meal is only available at Villa Danieli for dinner from 7 to 30 November 2014. For wine lovers, top it up with an additional of MYR150++ and your dining experience will be enhanced with the pairing of Allegrini wines.

About Allergrini
The Allegrini family has played a leading role in the history of fumane and of Valpolicella since the 16th  century and has passed on the culture of wine-making from generation to generation. Valpolicella, one of the most prestigious wine-making regions in Italy, has been dedicated to wine-making since ancient times, as the etymology of its name suggests: "val polis cellae" means, in fact, "the valley of many cellars ". It is located in the eastern part of  Veneto, between Verona and Lake Garda, with its boundary demarcated to the north by the Lessini mountains.
