Sunday, July 14, 2013

The state government of Penang has launched their “UBAH” (change) mascot  in the shape of a floating hornbill. The floating hornbill located in IJM Promenade, Bandar Sri Pinang, Penang Island.

The “Water UBAH” has cost RM 60,000 and it’s fully funded by the DAP political party supporters and sponsors. It took about 2 months to complete and was fully inspired by the Rubber Duck in Hong Kong that went viral worldwide.

The UBAH hornbill is 25ft tall and 26ft wide and it’s made from high quality PVC and weight approximately 250kg. The thickness of its body is 0.35mm and the thickness of its floating apparatus is 0.7mm.

If you wish to go there and snap a picture of yourself with “Water UBAH”, you got to be hurry because it launches until 31st of August.

Of course I won’t miss this opportunity and leave myself a mark there! I'm so proud to say that I'm a PENANGITE!

I was totally excited and I suddenly become a small kid again!
